STEP 2: Select & download a widget, and then open the widget & follow the instructions.
STEP 1: Get the Yahoo! Widgets program
Before you can use a widget, you must first install the Yahoo! Widgets program on your computer. This free program will provide a place for your widgets to live on your desktop and help you keep them organized.
To download the program, go to the Yahoo! Widgets page 
.
If your Web browser is Java-enabled, then you will need to follow the steps for Java-assisted installation. If your browser is not Java-enabled, please follow the manual installation instructions further down on this page.
Java-assisted installation

After arriving at the Yahoo! Widgets page, go to the right-hand window and click the orange button that reads, “Get Started Now.”

You will then be asked if you want to “Install Widget Start Pack?” Select “Continue.”

A window will pop up on your screen asking you to review the Customer Licensing Agreement. Review the terms and if you agree, select the “I Agree” button.

Congratulations! The Yahoo! Widgets program is now installed and it will launch automatically.

Now you are ready to download a widget.
Manual Installation

After arriving at the Yahoo! Widgets page, go to the right-hand window and click the orange button that reads, “Get Started Now.”

A window will pop up featuring installation instructions. Click on the orange “Start Install” button in the lower right-hand corner.

A window will open asking if you accept the download. To continue, click “Save file.” You may have to wait a moment for this button to activate while the program is being prepared for download.

The file is now saved on your desktop. Double-click the file icon to start installation.

A window will open with a welcome message. Click “Next.”

In the next window, click “Install” to begin installation. The program gives you the option of setting your default home page to yahoo.com and your default search engine to Yahoo! You are not required to select these options in order to install Yahoo! Widgets program.

Congratulations! The Yahoo! Widgets program is now installed and it will launch automatically after you select “Close.”

Now you are ready to download a widget.
STEP 2: Select & download one of the widgets below, and then open the widget and follow the instructions
After the Yahoo! Widgets program is installed, you now can download a Kaiser Permanente widget by going to the Get our widgets page and clicking the "Download" button next to the widget of your choice.
After downloading, an installation window will open. The window below is what you would see after downloading the Burn It Off! Fitness Calculator widget, for example.
Click "Use Widget" and the widget will be added to your Yahoo! Widgets program dock. Now you're ready to go!
